The Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) programme by the Selangor government caters to seniors above the age of 60 and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Seniors in Selangor are urged to sign up for the revamped Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) programme to enjoy its benefits. The voucher scheme by the Selangor government caters to seniors above the age of 60 and persons with disabilities (PWDs). The scheme previously paid RM2,500 to the next-of-kin of deceased Selangor and Kuala Lumpur seniors for funeral expenses. Members are now entitled to two distinct benefits: a once-a-year RM100 ‘Jom Shopping’ voucher for festive seasons, and a one-time RM500 death benefit payment to a next-of-kin. To qualify, you must: * Be Malaysian citizens aged 60 and above * Have been born in Selangor or Kuala Lumpur before 1 February 1974, OR been a Selangor resident for at least 15 years * Be currently living within Selangor (with a Selangor address on your IC) * Be a registered voter in Selangor at the time of registration * Note: For documentation requirements for your application, visit https://e-mesra.yawas.my/index.php The above requirements also apply to PWDs applying for the vouchers, with the exception that you must be 21 years old or older to meet the voter criterion.
